Boat Maintenance

This is a fundamental part of any sailing project. Equipment failures are not only inconvenient they can be downright dangerous. It is also essential that all running rigging and controls have been modified to be to hand and easy to use. Sometimes quite simple modifications can make all the difference.

For instance our Squibs can be sailed by paraplegics just by adding transverse thwarts for helm and crew to get up to weather. A lifting tiller also aids the helm to do this. Another very important element of boat maintenance is working together as a team during the winter months when sailing may not be possible or desirable.
